Curtis Partnership is seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join a large, complex and operationally focused organisation.

Operating within the infrastructure, transport and logistics sector, this business manages large-scale, well-established operations and requires a commercially minded finance leader who can partner with senior stakeholders, influence strategic decision-making and help drive operational and financial performance.

This is an opportunity for an experienced finance executive who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, influencing commercial outcomes and using financial insight to support better business decisions.

Reporting directly to the Directors and Executive you will lead the finance function while working closely with the executive team and operational leaders to provide meaningful commercial analysis, strategic guidance and financial leadership across the business.

This is not a role focused solely on producing accurate financial reports. Rather, it requires an individual who can commercially interpret financial information, identify trends and opportunities, challenge thinking where appropriate and help shape strategic and operational decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with the Directors and Executive to provide accurate reporting and strategic financial advice.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning.
• Delivering meaningful commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Driving financial performance through improved reporting, analysis and business insight.
• Leading and developing the finance team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strengthening financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Supporting commercial initiatives, contract evaluations and business improvement projects.
• Building strong relationships across operational business units to ensure finance is viewed as a trusted business partner.

You will demonstrate significant corporate experience as a finance professional who enjoys understanding how a business operates—not just how it reports.
You are naturally curious, analytical and commercially minded, and able to translate financial data into practical recommendations that improve business performance. 

In addition you will poseess 

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Significant experience in a senior commercial finance leadership role.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning capability.
• Be able to demonstrate and discuss where you have influenced business decisions through commercial analysis and providing insights  to financial results. 
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-financial audiences.

Experience gained within transport, logistics, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, facilities management or other complex, operationally intensive environments will be highly regarded.
