A privately owned national business within the industrial distribution sector is seeking an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager to join its leadership team.

Reporting to the Group CFO, this role will oversee all finance operations and deliverables together with finance process improvement across the business.

This is a hands-on position suited to a commercially minded and level headed finance professional who can guide and deliver on both strategic requirements and operational activities.

The Role

• Leading and developing the finance function
• Production of monthly management accounts, cashflow and balance sheet reporting
• Oversight of payroll, BAS, payroll tax, FBT and statutory compliance
• Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and more
• Preparation of financial statements with external accountants
• Driving improvements across finance systems, controls and reporting
• Supporting enterprise risk management and internal audit processes
• Partnering with operational leaders to provide commercial insight

Who are you and what will you bring?

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role within a hands on private company environment
• CA/CPA
• Strong credit and cashflow experience
• Strong technical accounting and compliance knowledge
• Experience within operational, logistics, industrial or similar environments
• Confident with commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
• Solutions-focused approach
