Our client, a well established and respected business in the FMCG industry, is seeking a Corporate Accountant with experience in financial systems, reporting, and accounting integrity to support their evolving operations and reporting requirements.
This is a wide ranging role and will touch on all aspects financial operations and control. In addition the business will be introducing a new accounting software system over the coming year, as such you will be significantly involved in both BAU and transformation focussed activities.
The Role:Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and related activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Management and financial reporting
- Management of the finance systems and processes
- Responsible for cost management, stock valuation, general ledger
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Payroll, BAS, GST, FBT and liaison with ATO
- Overseeing cash management, treasury and AP
- Customer billings and receivables management through AR
- Assist in the migration to a new system
- Preparation of accounting function for transition to new software environment
- Restructure existing financial reports
Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be experienced in Financial & Management Accounting and will have:
- Hold a professional accounting qualification
- Experience in implementing financial systems change or working in transformative environment
- High proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- High level Excel user
- Office based 4 days per week
