The Company Our Client, a leading alternative real estate investment manager, is seeking a
Financial Accountant to play a critical role in the timely delivery of results, analysis and forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, Finance & Compliance, your duties will include:
- Handle month-end processing and general ledger close.
- Support the day-to-day finance operations for corporate entities and managed investment schemes.
- Oversee daily reconciliations for managed funds.
- Assist in detailed cash flow reporting and analysis.
- Help with compliance tasks, including preparation of audit requests and annual reports.
- Contribute to the management of our client's Corporate Note.
- Assist in budget preparation and re-forecasting.
- Support process improvement initiatives through automation and control implementation.
- Collaborate on investment and competitor analysis.
- Prepare reports for the Board and Sub-Committees (Investment and Compliance).
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all responsibilities.
Skills & Qualification - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CA qualification or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience.
- Strong financial management and accounting knowledge.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify key issues and propose solutions.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a flexible approach.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in financial control assessment and evaluation.
- Financial services industry experience (funds management highly desirable).
- Prior experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Experience with Xero is an advantage.
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with online financial platforms.
