The Role This opportunity is for an experienced finance professional to lead the financial operations and provide strategic guidance across multiple business units in the group. This is a key leadership role, reporting to the Directors and senior management, where you will drive continuous improvement, foster team development, and align financial strategies with business goals.
What you'll be doing - Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and governance requirements.
- Monitor financial performance and identify risks and opportunities for improvement including the development of strong cashflow modelling and reporting.
- Knowledge of international transactions, currency exchange risk, international payments, logistics and shipping.
- Direct management and mentoring a finance team of ten.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Enhance team capabilities through professional development.
- Drive optimisation of financial systems.
- Lead automation initiatives and improve administrative processes.
- Collaborate with directors on financial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and manage financial risks.
- Provide insights to drive operational and strategic decisions.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory policies and corporate governance.
- Develop processes to mitigate risks and enhance reporting accuracy.
What you can bring - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business related coupled with CA, or CPA.
- Proven experience in financial management within product-based, FMCG or distribution environments.
- Strong Proficiency integrated ERP software.
- Ability to manipulate data and reports in Excel with first hand experience in modern Excel functions.
- Demonstrated success in managing high-performing teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Results-driven and detail-oriented.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
